Mandatory Mission Trip Informational Meeting

Summer seems so far away but it will be here before we know it - and so will our very special Mexico Mission Trip!

There will be a mandatory informational meeting for those seeking to be a part of the Mexico Mission Trip Sunday, October 28th from 7:00 to 8:30 in the youth room.

If you think you might want to be a part of this trip, you and a parent MUST attend this meeting. We have a bunch of new info (including something BRAND NEW!) to share with everyone and so it is absolutely necessary for you to be there. You will not get a Mission Trip Application unless you come to the meeting.

If there is some kind of unavoidable conflict that won't allow you to be at the meeting, you and your parent(s) may schedule a private meeting with Mike to discuss the trip and receive your application.

We want to make sure everyone gets an opportunity to hear how missions at RBFC is growing and have everyone be on the same page!!

So, put it on the calendar - Sunday, October 28th - 7:00 - 8:30 pm - Youth Room!

See you all there!!

A Nice Reminder

I just downloaded "Everything Glorious" by David Crowder Band from iTunes. It is just a good reminder that life is so much better when we turn things over to God and remember that He has the ability to take everything (the good, bad, and ugly) and make it into something meaningful and worthwhile.

Here are the lyrics - good to think about:

Everything Glorious
The day is brighter here with You
The night is lighter than its hue
Would lead me to believe
Which leads me to believe

(chorus)
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
What does that make me?

My eyes are small but they have seen
the beauty of enormous things
Which leads me to believe
there's light enough to see that

(chorus)
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours

From glory to glory
You are glorious You are glorious
From glory to glory
You are glorious. You are glorious
Which leads me to believe
why I can believe that

If you feel like it, leave a note saying in what ways God has reminded you how He makes things glorious. Be specific - we would love your encouragement.

Romans 8:28
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."

Question of the Week

A little less serious, and a little more typical

You're trapped on a desert (or deserted - whichever you prefer) island. No one else is there. Just you and the island (think Tom Hanks in CastAway)...

Give us your 'must have' list!
What would you want with you??

1) One Book (other than the Bible!)
2) One Food
3) One Drink
4) And if you had a DVD player, television, and solar panels to power them -- what TWO movies?
5) Lastly, one other item -- nothing that can get you rescued and must be able to fit into a backpack.

So, think about it, leave a comment -- and do it like this:

1) Harry Potter 4
2) Sour Patch Kids
3) Pickle Juice
etc.

Cool -- can't wait to see what you guys put!!
